M70 - Globular Cluster
This shot was taken on 8/19/07, using a Slooh remote-controlled telescope in Dome 1 of their facility in the Canary Islands. The telescope used was a 14-inch f/5.5 Schmidt-Cassegrain and the camera was a SBIG ST-10XME. This shot is the result of a processed 5 minute exposure.
The globular cluster, M70, is about 35,200 light years from earth.
