M56 - A Globular Cluster

This image was taken with modified Canon 1000XS camera and the Hyperstar 3 lens system on a Nexstar 11 GPS. The image was captured on October 15, 2012 from the bright night skies of Tempe, AZ. Messier 56 is also known as NGC 6779.


The star cluster known as M56 is aproximately 32,900 light years from Earth.
