This shot was taken on 2/03/10, using a Slooh remote-controlled telescope in Dome 1 of their facility in Chile. The telescope used was a 34mm fl/4 APO refractor and the camera was a SBIG ST-2000XM. This shot is the result of a processed 5 minute exposure.
The open cluster, M46, is about 5,300 light years from earth.
