M45 - The Pleiades or Seven Sisters
This image was taken with the Hyperstar 3 equipped Nexstar 11GPS on 10/16/09 under the light polluted skies of Phoenix. The star cluster known as the Pleiades is approximately 407 light years away. As you can see, the star cluster is surrounded by a beautiful blue nebulosity. Interestingly, the star cluster may not be related to the nebula, according to one source I came across, they may just be passing through each other.
The camera used was the modified Canon Rebel 1000xs. This image is a stack of about a hundred 20-second ISO-1600 subs stacked in Nebulosity 2.
