M39 - An Open Cluster of Stars

This image was taken with modified Canon 1000XS camera and the Hyperstar 3 lens system on a Nexstar 11 GPS. The image was captured on October 8, 2012 from the relatively bright skies of Tempe, AZ.


The star cluster known as Messier 39 is an open star cluster about 800 light years from Earth.
