M30 - Globular Cluster
This shot was taken on 7/16/05, using a Slooh remote-controlled telescope in Dome 2 of their facility in the Canary Islands. The telescope used was a 14-inch f/11 Schmidt-Cassegrain and the camera was a SBIG ST-10XME. This shot is the result of a processed 5 minute exposure.
The globular cluster, M30, is about 26,700 light years from earth.
