M22 - The Great Sagittarius Cluster

M22 is also known as the Crackerjack Cluster and as NCG 6656. M22 is approximately 10,100 light years away and is a cluster of a half million stars. This shot was taken on July 14, 2009 with my Hyperstar equiped Nexstar 11 GPS using 5 second subs at ISO 1600. The shot was taken under the light-polluted skies of Phoenix.
