This shot was taken on July 22, 2011 using my 102mm APO refractor unguided on the CGEM mount. This shot was taken under the dark skies of Dewey Arizona.
The camera used was the modified Canon Rebel 1000xs. The Eagle Nebula is also known as The Ghost Nebula and NGC 6611 and is approximately 9000 light-years away.
