M108 - Spiral Galaxy


 



This shot was taken on 2/09/10, using a Slooh remote-controlled telescope in Dome 2 of their facility in the Canary Islands. The telescope used was a 14-inch f/11 Schmidt-Cassegrain and the camera was a SBIG ST-10XME. This shot is the result of a processed 5 minute exposure.

The spiral galaxy, M108, is about 46 million light years from earth.
