M106 - Spiral Galaxy
This shot was taken on 8/09/04, using a Slooh remote-controlled telescope in Dome 2 of their facility in the Canary Islands. The telescope used was a 14-inch f/11 Schmidt-Cassegrain and the camera was a SBIG ST-10XME. This shot is the result of a processed 5 minute exposure.
The spiral galaxy, M106, is about 22 million light years from earth.
