Caldwell 49 - The Rosette Nebula
This image was taken with the Hyperstar 3 equipped Nexstar 11GPS on 03/20/10 under the relatively dark skies of Dewey, AZ. The camera used was the modified Canon Rebel 1000xs. The color shot is a stack of 100 17-second images stacked with Deep Sky Stacker. The color shot was then stacked with the black and white Hydrogen-Alpha shot taken on 9/09/09. The Rosette Nebula is also known as Sharpless 2-275 and as NGC 2237.
